Luke and his family were some of the first people we met when Empower a Child moved into Zirobwe. This family has been pivotal in the community, leading in church, mobilizing the community for events, assisting with medical camp. Over 10 years ago, the family learned their oldest son, Luke had a heart condition and the valves in his heart were not properly allowing blood to flow through. Many of you rallied together and supported to send Luke and his mother to Sudan to receive this urgent heart surgery. 

Luke needs another heart surgery out of the country to replace the valves that should support him for the rest of his life.

The cost of flights, accommodation, hospital stay and the surgery will cost $12,300. We want to support this family and prepare Luke for a long, productive adult life.

The surgery is set for May 5, please give this family hope for their son's life.
